We performed!

Our final rehearsal supported by a  small orchestra and with four wonderful soloists was held in the magnificent surroundings of Dunbar Parish Church where Alberto, our MD, continued to work hard to blend us harmoniously together.

The tickets are sold and programmes printed, The Three Tenors await their moment.

Not quite, but 2 basses and a tenor smart in their dinner jackets are more than ready to rise to the occasion and perform the final two parts of Handel’s Messiah.

East Lothian folk were hungry for music and Dunbar Choral were competing against various other musical offerings in the local area including a Brass Band concert in Haddington and a Folk concert at West Barns Village Hall so our audience was moderate in size  but, without a doubt,  discerning.

The applause  after the final chord said it all, we had succeeded, in fact more than that, we had performed: “An incredible rendition of Handel’s Messiah in which the Hallelujah Chorus was sung beautifully. It was a fabulous concert. Congratulations to all.  Well done. “
